Our Girl

Anne Elizabeth McComb Swaney was an avid horsewoman from the time she was a girl in Platte City, Missouri. When she wasn’t working as Executive Producer of Online Operations at ABC-7 in Chicago, Anne continued to pursue her passion for horses as an adult. She regularly rode her horse Sequoia near Chicago, and traveled worldwide for horseback riding adventures.

A world traveler and explorer, Anne took part in a cattle drive in Utah and rode horses in Costa Rica, Belize, Scotland, Turkey and Greece. Anne wrote about these adventures and the horses she met along the way, and some of these stories will soon be available in "Adventures of an Equine Traveler."

Anne passed away in 2016. Her friends and family established the foundation to share the happiness and healing Anne found in horses with those in need.
